wait till the heat has calmed itself down, buy icecream in a large container, half gallon usually best. throw it in your pack with the other groceries. jump on bike and pedal the 5 miles home three of which are uphill while its still over 80 deg outside. you are a winner if you make it before the treat you bought has melted all over your pack.
side note bringing things like frozen cooler packets to keep said ice cream cold is cheating and you will likely have GI issues for your actions. bringing an insulating container or bag of any sort while it may seem smart is also considered cheating.
Packing cold beers around the icecream that you also just purchased is recomended, drinking a few of them while going uphill and competing earns pro points, whatever those are.
